The terms of two of our Group's EXCOM members, Becky Reisch and Joe Garrity, expire at the end of this year. So, for 2008, an even numbered year, we are to elect two EXCOM members. The following four members have graciously volunteered to serve on the EXCOM if elected. And, THANKS, BECKY, for serving.
The Sierra Club takes pride in being one of only a very few grassroots organizations still holding elections for its volunteer leadership by sending ballots to ALL of its membership for the particular Club entity to be served. You may not know any of these four gentlemen due to your inability to attend our meetings, programs, and outings, but make a choice and send in your completed ballot INCLUDING suggestions of ways that might help increase active participation by you and others.
Program and outing ideas are always welcome!! We are not into hounding members with phone calls and door-to-door visitations. We just do what we do and hope some of it will inspire participation for the good of the Sierra Club cause and camaraderie. Your ideas may help stimulate some new thinking and participation.
THANKS for being a valued member supporting the environmental cause no matter what your level of participation. The natural world thanks you, also!! We hope to meet more of you as the New Year unfolds!
