While seven outing participants helped Bob Walton of the Dubuque County Conservation Board rid a portion of the Heritage Trail right-of-way of a great deal of invading buckthorn early on Saturday, Nov. 19 during a 2.5 hour work session, there is still much to do. The planned stretch did not get completely cleared and lots of trash along the way remains for later collection. We may soon try a repeat of this Service Outing. Charlie reminds folks to pay attention to notices such as was included in a outing reminder to wear old clothes suitable for work with anything that includes the word "thorn". His down jacket did not fare too well.
